ASCS Patriots Rained Out at Humberstone, Rescheduled For September 14 to Complete Massive Weekend

Rich Vleck, PORT COLBORNE, Ontario (August 24, 2008)- A massive downpour moved in on Sunday to eliminate any chance of running the ASCS Patriot event at Humberstone Speedway. The new date for this event has been determined though and is ready to cap off an already highly anticipated weekend.

The Patriots will run for the third time in their history at the 1/3-mile facility on Sunday, September 14. The race will count fully towards the championship and only intensify what is already a feverish month of September. Complete Story

Bryan Howland and Blake Breen Capture Dual Duels at Stateline

Rich Vleck, JAMESTOWN, NY (August 23, 2008)- After two terrible Saturdays in June where it rained unmercifully at Stateline Speedway, a picture-perfect day would set the stage for two of the best ASCS Patriot events of the year.

Bryan Howland and Blake Breen each scored their first career Stateline Victories, both making their final pass for the lead on lap 20 while in lapped traffic and picking up the top-prize.

Triple Dip This Weekend

Rich Vleck, TULSA, Okla. (August 18, 2008)- What was originally scheduled to be a single event weekend for the ASCS Patriots has now turned into the only three-race weekend on the 2008 tour.

Stateline Speedway was the final full-points race to be added to the schedule this year. After a rainout halfway through in June, they will now be one of just six tracks to host multiple races. Complete Story

Bobby Breen Hard Charger of 2008 Heading Into Stretch Run

Rich Vleck, TULSA, Okla. (August 13, 2008)- Still eight races remaining in the 2008 season, which means it’s still anybody’s guess at who will pick up Hard Charger honors at the end, but it is a pair of youngsters with double-B initials who have find themselves up front.

Bobby Breen, of Savannah, NY, leads Bubba Broderick, of Brookfield, CT, 35-33 in the Bear Paw Hand Cleaner Hard Charger of the Season presented by Gater News Online. The teenagers have been able to rally from precarious situations on a number of occasions this year and post quality finishes, helping out their position in these standings.
